Building:
The Farmer is the backbone of your food production. The Farmer will cultivate the crops you assign it through the Field block (a scarecrow).
Before the Farmer can start, you need to craft the Field block. Place the Field block in the plot of land you want the Farmer to work on and right-click on it to access its GUI. Here you will place the crop you want for this specific field to be cultivated. The crops the Farmer will currently cultivate are wheat, carrots, potatoes, beets, melons, pumpkins, and most crops from other mods as long as they have normal growth behavior. (Sugarcane, cactus, and bamboo are produced by the Planter.)
The Farmer will also craft seeds, carved pumpkins, hay bales, composted dirt, and coarse dirt. They will only make these items when they have been taught the recipes, receive a request for an item, and have the needed materials.
Note: The Farmer can only learn a set number of recipes based on their hut level. So:

The higher a Farmer’s Stamina level, the less time they will take between cycles of planting and harvesting. The higher their Athletics level, the less time they will take to plant/harvest each crop.

Mystical Site
Worker:
Note: The Mystical Site cannot be built until you have finished the research in the University.
The Mystical Site is a simple building to increase a colony’s overall happiness level. It has no worker, and increases colonists’ happiness just by existing.
The Undertaker will visit the Mystical Site when there are no colonists to bury. Doing so will increase their Mana skill, and as such, their chance of resurrecting a killed citizen.
Mystical Site GUI
When accessing the Mystical Site’s hut block by right-clicking on it, you will see a GUI with different options:
- Mystical Site Level: This tells you the type of hut and the build level of the building you have selected.
- Build Options: Lets you create a build, upgrade, reposition, or repair build order for the Mystical Site. To learn more about the building system, please visit the Builder page.
- Inventory: Here you can access the Mystical Site’s storage, where you can store anything you like. No citizen uses it.
- Chest icon: Click this button to see all the items in the hut’s storage (including the hut block’s inventory and any racks/chests that came with the hut). Clicking the ? button next to an item’s count will highlight the storage container it’s in.

Worker System
If it is raining, snowing, nighttime, or a citizen died yesterday (in-game time), your citizens will stop working!
Traits
When hiring a worker at a hut, the primary trait used in that work will be highlighted in green and the secondary trait in yellow to help you decide which citizen is the best worker for the job. The higher a worker’s level, the faster and more efficient they will be. Each trait also has a specific bonus for the job. To see these bonuses, please visit the worker pages.
These skills make up the worker’s level. The formula is (Primary Trait + Secondary Trait)/4 = Level (rounded down).
For example, if Adaptability is the primary trait and Athletics secondary, and the worker assigned has Adaptability 29 and Athletics 16, then (29+16)/4=11.25.That means that this worker’s level will be 11!
Workers’ skills/levels increase as they work. Their level is limited by the level of the worker’s home. The level of a worker’s work hut and their Intelligence skill level affect the speed that they level up.

House
Citizens will go to the House they are assigned to at night to sleep. The House is also a way to get more citizens for your colony.
Each level of the House will house one citizen. So:

For additional citizens to spawn, you first have to have enough space in your House(s) to house your first four citizens. After you have created enough space for your initial four citizens, you have two options for your colony to grow. The first way is to have at least one House at least level 2 that houses two unrelated citizens, which will allow a child to be born in the colony when there is room. You can also make space for a new citizen, go to the Tavern, wait for a traveler to show up, and then give them the items they request to recruit them.
Note: To have over 25 citizens, you must first complete the research in the University.
