The Garden Cloche is a machine added by Immersive Engineering. It is used to grow crops placed in it.
Right-clicking it will open its GUI (Graphical User Interface). In the GUI, the top of the central two slots is where a seed can be placed, and below that the block that the seed grows on can be placed (usually Dirt).
GUI for the cloche
In order to grow, Water and Redstone Flux (RF) are required; Water can be input through the lower front, back, or bottom ports, and RF can be input through the top, or through the lower left and right sides (anywhere with an orange dot, except through the front center block). Water, despite being strictly required, acts as a small Fertilizer boost when refilled by your fluid input systems. This boost dies down until the next time it receives water.

When it has all its requirements, it will grow the crop, generating a product and its seeds, consuming 8 RF per tick. Items can be output through the front center side with the orange dot on it.

Various Fertilizers can be added to increase the growth modifier (production speed), including Bone Meal. The growth modifier is listed on the left side of the GUI, along with the amount of Fertilizer. It can be added through the lower front, back, or bottom ports. Using Fertilizer does not increase energy consumption.
The Garden Cloche can be disabled via a Redstone signal.

Before reporting:
Please use the search function to make sure an issue hasn’t been reported already. This avoids duplicates.
Also, please give this issue a descriptive name that contains the game version in the title, eg.: «[1.12] Capacitor Interaction Crash»
Description of the issue:
I created a blaze seed, go to put it into a Garden Cloche and no go. I tried it on dirt, on nether rack, on nether brick, etc and nothing. It just won’t accept the blaze seed. Tried an essence seed as well and same result, it won’t accept any MA seeds as far as I can tell.

I think mystical agriculture is not supposed to work with the garden cloche.
There might be settings for that in the config file.
Alternatively you can look for a companion mod that will make mystical agriculture crops available for the cloche.

Oh? As I was doing that in 1.10.2. Didn’t see a setting but I could have missed it. What companion mod would you recommend?

I’m not totally sure if there is a setting, there might not be.
But In the past if have seen mods who add Mystical agriculture support.
A quick search lead me to this mod:

But the author says it’s broken? Maybe you can find another mod that does the same.

Hmm. There is also MystAgrad Cloche Compat but it says your mod supersede it, that doesn’t help. Hmm. That and yours are the only two Curse Forge pages I see on page 1 of Google, the rest are people asking for comparability to be added. That’s disappointing. TF supports it with Phydo Grow but Phydo Grow is a pain in the neck, I have to route all my ore processing though the much slower Induction Smelter with sand to get the rich slag needed for it. Sand isn’t a problem, it’s the speed, >,

@mindforger Well, that asks for the cloche to give MA seeds, not use MA seeds. Don’t get seeds from right clicking on them as they grow in world so I wouldn’t expect the cloche to give them neither. But it can’t even grow MA crops in a cloche. Not just MA, but also flax seeds from Actually Additions neither. So far it’s 2 strikes. >.

The issue on giving seeds
Issue on the Assembler, not Cloche
Issue on phantom items using diamond seeds.
I stopped after that issue since the Original Poster (OP) is using diamond seeds but it’s producing phantom items so I know it was, at least for his version of 1.12.2, possible to do what I can’t do. That’s when I posted here my issue.

My issue is I can not do what Direwolf20 did in this video.
I right click in dirt, check, right click in seed, fail. Drop seed in, fail. Seed refuses to go into the cloche, period. I can not grow MA seeds in a cloche.

so let’s all be honest here, the Garden Cloche is possably the most powerful thing in IE. sure, there are the railguns which can OHKO any basic mob, the excavator which can get you ores at the cost of only power, or the biodeisle generator which can make a healthe 4k RF/T on nothing but wheat, But for it’s intended purpose, it’s In-godly powerful compared to other alternatives on the market. They’re extramly fast, being able to output stacks of items within half an hour, they’re cheap, only really taking some basic metals and glass to make, they’re eaisier to maintain, only taking a pathetic 8rf/t to function and only needing water to be pumped in. and they’re more compact, taking up a fraction of the space that any other farming station would need.
So, my suggestion is to, first off, nerf the cloche. i would make it so that it grows 50-75% slower, i think that would make other methods of farming a bit more viable.
the second part of my suggestion is to add an «industrial grower», my idea is for a 5×4 machine that would function similarly to the cloche. however, there are 3 noticeable differences. First, it would have 6 slots for soil and seeds, of course they could be mixed and matched so you could have 3 for wheat and 3 for potatoes. The second difference is that by default it would be about 50% faster to grow than my suggested cloche (so if it gets the 50% reduction it would be about 75% the speed of the current cloche) But the third major difference, and probably the most important one, is that the growth speed could be increased from external sources. for example, placing some greenhouse glass above the grower could increase growth speed by .25, or a fully maxed out rustic beehive could increase it by .50, worms could increase it by .10, ect.
personally, i think this would be a good way to balance the cloche and add an alternative that fits the general style of the mod IMO. Or i could be stark-raven mad and have no idea what i’m talking about, your pick.
